About the group
Bionanomaterials group (BNMG) is an interdisciplinary research group focusing on the application of materials science for biological system. BNMG is conducting research on exploiting the uniqueness of engineered nanomaterials for use in biomedical applications (guided regeneration, nanomedicine). In addition, research activities are also directed towards understanding the intrinsic properties of novel materials and using them to get a predictive biological impact, for cellular and environmental research.

Mr. Swaroop Chakraborty has successfully defended his PhD thesis and joined the group as a Post Doctoral Researcher

Mr. Ranga Teja, Mr. Saurabh Soni and Ankit Jaiswal has successfully defended their M.Tech thesis.

Mr. Ranga Teja, a M.Tech student of our group got selected for PhD program in University of Louisville, Kentucky.

Mr. Anurag Sharma, a M.Tech student of our group got selected for the M.Tech-MS Dual Degree program under the collaboration with IITGN-JAIST (Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology).
Dr. Superb K. Misra bagged another DST SERB grant on a project related to nanotheranostics

Ms. Bharti Malvi, a PhD student of our group successfully defended her proposal for accessing the Inter-University Accelerator Center for ion implantation work for her research.

Mr. Swaroop Chakraborty received "IITGN Overseas Scholarship" award to pursue an internship in University of Birmingham, UK.
​
Mr. Ankit Jaiswal got selected for India Connect Research Internship Programme and currently working at NTU, Singapore
​
Mr. Saurabh Soni, a M.Tech student of our group got selected for the M.Tech-MS Dual Degree program under the collaboration with IITGN-JAIST (Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology).

Mr. Swaroop Chakraborty presented a poster at 6th Nano Today Conference, recently concluded in Lisbon, Portugal from 16th -20th June 2019. He received travel support from IIT Gandhinagar to attend the conference.
